CCSSO Releases Statement on Missouri Chief

Washington, D.C. (October 17, 2023) – Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) Chief Executive Officer Carissa Moffat Miller released the following statement on the announcement that Missouri Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven will be stepping down next year.
“Commissioner Margie Vandeven is an incredible leader for the students and teachers in Missouri. She consistently works to give students access to a high-quality education as well as to expand local grow-your-own initiatives. I look forward to continuing to work with her as a valuable voice on CCSSO’s Board of Directors and foster a smooth transition.”
